 WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!!!! This Promises to be an exciting and engaging year at Winton Middle School. The teachers and Staff are excited about the new challenges we face. It is Winton Middle School's goal to meet the needs of every child and give them a high quality, well-rounded education. For students proficient in English, we offer challenging instruction in all the core subjects-including Algebra for approximately 100% of the eighth graders. For students still learning English language, we offer Hampton-Brown High Point curriculum to assist them in learning the English language. We insist that every child must be successful. No excuses. The overall vision of Winton Middle School is to have all students performing at or above proficient levels in the educational cornerstones, of reading and mathematics by the year 2008, while at the same time closing the achievement gaps of students of different genders or minority groups, students who are English Language learners, students who are economically disadvantaged, and students who have a disability.
